Final Double Page Spread

I took action from my last drafts and changed the layout to how my teacher suggested. My teacher told my my article text was creating a lot of negative space where my pull quotes were so i changed them to have red speech marks which are in a larger size than the quote to stand out and i made my overall pull quote text smaller than before. I also placed Q and A where the Question and answers were as this is a question and answer article. My teacher also commented on my page number, i looked at some magazines and they have a small icon next to the number to re-enforce the audience of the magazines name from the use of a "C" to represent "cult". I also took another image and i felt my others weren't fit for double page as i wanted a symbolic image for my artist.

I have included a page number and photograph and style credit in this draft. I think this is now one of my favourite drafts!I'm going to experiment with image and make a final decision.

Double Page Spread Draft 4

In this draft i really like the use of the columns although there is a faint black line going across my image, other than that, another aspect i don't like is the "Jode" text font.

Double Page Spread Draft 3

I believe this third draft is Berger than my others. Using this larger image acts as the eye catching element to the article along with the name 'Jode' in the background in red which allows the magazine to look realistic as the use of house colours of the front cover flows throw the magazine.

Double Page Spread Second Draft

I tried to use the same image but enlarge it slightly and place large white text in the background. I like this layout but I still think it is lacking in a realistic look of a real magazine article.

Double Page Spread First Draft

This is my first double page draft. I like the layout and having a black background although, it is not very eye catching to the audience. I need a larger text with my artists name in red or white in the background to draw attention. Further more I would like to use a larger image with the use of leading lines of my models fingers to draw the eye to the article and image.
