Final Contents Page

Taking on the feedback from my teacher i have changed the colour of my "cult" mast head to the page to grey and "this week" to red to stand out to the audience that this is the magazines contents page. This is my final Contents page and i am very happy with my outcome.

Teacher feedback and my Response

From this feedback from my teacher i will make changes to the mast. The changes i will be making are: change 'cult' to black or grey then 'this week' to red. Furthurmore, i will change 'This week' to 'This week's contents' to really establish the contents page. From my peer feed back, i will also add a pull quote. Hopefully combining these improvements it will make my magazine more conventional than it already is.

Peer Feed back on Contents Page

Comments:

Chlo Dunn's comments - I think this is a very good contents page, it looks classy and simplistic. I really like how the date ans been edited to fit in with the masthead/logo. I like how everything is set out so it is easy to read and it isn't filled with writing. The bottom right photo is good because it is cut out instead of all the images just being square. I also like the font as it is easy to read makes it look more professional. I think the feature at the bottom is also good. Finally, I like the colour scheme. It's not overloaded with colour and isn't too busy. To improve I think you could maybe add a pull quote just to draw the audience in more, but otherwise,VERY GOOD!

Jamie's comments - it looks just like a real magazine! its cool and very relaxed all the pictures look great and all are organised really well, the whole poage looks really poffesional and i would pay for this. the writing looks good and clear and i like how there's lots of different sizes of font and different colours of font to highlint importance. the numbers on top of the pictures look really reallistic and match the general colour scheme it looks great all round. cant really pick any faults.

Good use of lots of different images along with page numbers on each page making it conventional and realistic. I like the use of extras along the botton as it relates again to real magazines. I think to improve you could of listed stories instead of puting them all with an image. Also the 'Stiff Little Fingers' is difficult to read because of the image overlapping it but it is a good image as it is different to the reast because it doesnt have a background.

Contents Page Draft 3/Final Contents Page

This is my final contents page for my magazine. I have tried to keep it so a similar style to Q magazine as I really like the lay out of their contents page.

Contents Page Draft 2

This is my second contents page. To create this i made two A4 pages and once i had finished them, i opened a new A3 photoshop file and dragged the layers of both A4 individual pages onto it. It wasn't a perfect match at first but as i dragged the layers and not just an image of the two pages i was able to move them to produce a professional contents page.

Contents Page Draft 1

This is my first Draft. I feel as if it is a good layout although it isn't eye catching enough to attract my audiences’ attention. I think in my second draft I will produce a double paged contents page allowing me to have a similarlayer but include much more eye catching elements such as a “splash” on the page for subscriptions or competition; maybe just written in an eye catching font or colour.

Final front cover

I am using this as my final front cover as I believe my images taken of this model are a lot stronger than those of my other models. Choosing this image allows me to have an eye catching image in my contents which ties in with my front cover and following that my double page spread.
